Watershed Awards & Environmental Expo

Interested in the environment?  Then make sure you plan to attend Central Lake Ontario Conservation Watershed Awards and Environmental Expo on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Camp Samac ~ Council Hall in Oshawa starting at 6:30 pm.  This event is FREE and appropriate for the whole family.  Due to limited space registration is required.  The Environmental Expo will start at 6:30pm with the awards ceremony at 7:00pm and then the expo will continue from 7:30 to 9:00pm.

“Working together for a healthy watershed and environment is the theme for the evening,” states Gerry Emm, Chair of Central Lake Ontario Conservation.  “At the Watershed Award ceremony, visitors will be able to meet individuals, community groups and businesses that are making a positive impact on the environment. This year we are very pleased to present 19 Watershed Awards including 5 Special Recognition Awards.” 

At the Environmental Expo over 20 community groups and businesses will have displays on living greener and green technology, volunteering, wildlife watching, bee keeping and other community environmental activities to help you help us create healthy watersheds. 

This event will be fun and informative with great information for school projects!
