In order to prepare for the Kids Fishing Day on
Saturday, May 12, 2012, no public fishing at the Devil's Den Pond
is allowed between:

9:00 pm on Wednesday, May 9 to
11:00 am on Saturday, May 12, 2012.

Everyone is welcome to enjoy a day of fishing! Fishing rods, reels and bait provide along with instructors to assist. Fishing rods are available on loan until 2:00pm - limited quantities.

Visit the Activity Area and have your face painted, try your luck in a casting contest or try the fish game! The Activity Area has something for all. A hot dog lunch will be provided for all visitors from 11am to 1:00pm by the picnic shelter.

PLEASE NOTE: A fishing licence is required for participants between 18 and 65 years of age. Fishing regulations and limits apply.

Fishing Limits:
Sport Fishing Licence - 2 Rainbow Trout
Conservation Fishing Licence - 1 Rainbow Trout

Anglers under 18 and over 65 years of age do not require a fishing licence and the possession limit is 2 Rainbow Trout.



Parking Area
Parking facilities for this event are located in the west section of Heber Down Conservation Area on Coronation Rd. just south of HWY.7. From the 401 exit at Brock St. in Whitby. Take Taunton Rd. LEFT from Brock St. to Coronation Rd. (the next road west of Country Lane Rd.) . Turn RIGHT and travel approximately 1km to the conservation area entrance - Watch For Signs. The walk from the parking lot to the event is via a wood-chipped path through the forest. Some small wheeled strollers and wagons may have a hard time on the trail.
