The Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority (CLOCA) has completed the draft Lynde Creek Watershed Plan and has posted this Watershed Plan on the CLOCA website. Information gathered through the Existing Conditions Report for the Lynde Creek watershed and the development and evaluation of different management alternatives have been used in the development of this draft Watershed Plan.
The vision for the Lynde Creek Watershed Plan is to be the definitive tool used by CLOCA, municipalities, planning authorities, agencies and other stakeholders to guide decisions to effectively manage watershed resources in response to future growth and a changing environment. This Plan has been completed in compliance with provincial legislation related to watershed planning and makes recommendations regarding the ecological requirements necessary to attain a healthy and resilient watershed. Implementation of the Watershed Plan will be carried out predominantly by CLOCA, the Region of Durham, local municipalities and other watershed stakeholders.
CLOCA invites you to review and comment upon this draft Watershed Plan as your comments are important and will help to contribute to the finalization of the Lynde Creek Watershed Plan. All comments should be received by January 27, 2012.
