About the Event
Forest therapy, forest bathing, Shrinrin Yoku, green therapy, eco-therapy - the concept goes by many names but is really very simple: we feel better after spending time in natural settings. Intuitively we have always known that nature has incredibly healing properties, and now science is starting to tell us why. Spending time in nature not only strengthens human immune response and reduces stress, but also makes us more creative, mindful, and content.
On this hike we'll spend intentional time in the forest, participating in invitations that bring a mindful and deep connection with our natural environment.
This hike will be led by Randi-Lea Micklewright, a certified forest therapy guide through the Global Institute of Forest Therapy.
Please, no pets.
