Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority’s (CLOCA’s) Social Media Participation Terms of Use:

Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority encourages you to engage in open discussion with our social media channels. We look forward to reading your comments and answering your questions. Members from CLOCA’s communications department will moderate all comments posted on CLOCA-owned social media accounts, blogs, and our website. We reserve the right to remove comments that we deem inappropriate. We also reserve the right to block or remove access to repeat offenders of these guidelines.

 

Terms and Conditions:
Opinions and views expressed by individuals as comments, postings or responses on CLOCA’s social media channels are not necessarily those of CLOCA, its officers, employees, staff or members of its board.

 

Comments of the following nature (and others deemed inappropriate) will be removed:

• Solicitations or advertisements, including promotion and endorsement of any financial, commercial or non-governmental agency.  

• Promotional messages for personal gain or personal solicitation.  

• Material copied from other sources (exceptions include the use of brief quotes where the source is acknowledged).

• Personal attacks, harassment, aggressive behaviour and name calling.

• Comments that are threatening, obscene, profane and that contain hate speech, degrade others or are deemed abusive.

• Comments that suggest or encourage illegal activity or that promotes discrimination on the basis of race, creed, colour, age, religion, gender, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, national origin, physical or mental disability, gender identity or sexual orientation.

• Sexual content or links to sexual content.

• Content posted by persons whose profile picture or avatar, username or e-mail address contains any of the aforementioned unsuitable content.

• Libelous statements, such as allegations of criminal activity or comments that unfairly harm the reputation of a person or organization.

• Use of an offensive username or of foul language of any kind.

• Public disclosure of personal and confidential information.

• Content that contains personal information about an identifiable individual other than the individual posting the content.

• Religious and political messages.
