AQUATIC MONITORING ASSISTANT
Seasonal - April 28th, 2025 to August 29th, 2025 (18 Weeks)
This is a Summer Student Position. The aquatic monitoring assistant will be working on various projects in streams and wetlands located within the Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority (CLOCA) jurisdiction.

This is a seasonal position, and you may be required to work all or some of the following dates: March 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29 and 30 during the annual Purple Woods Maple Syrup Festival. A mandatory half-day training and orientation session is planned for Saturday, March 1, 2025.
Cashiers (6 positions)

This is a seasonal position, and you may be required to work all or some of the following dates: March 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29 and 30 during the annual Purple Woods Maple Syrup Festival. A mandatory half-day training and orientation session is planned for Saturday, March 1, 2025.
Catering Company (Contract Position)
Seasonal (Purple Woods Maple Syrup Festival) - Feb 26th to April 9th, 2025
This is a seasonal contract from February 26th to April 9th, 2025, including weekends (approximately 6 weeks) and catering staff will be required to work all or some of the following dates: Twelve (12) Festival days (March 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29 and 30) plus additional 7 hours for initial kitchen setup. Twenty-two (22) Education days (March 3, 4, 5, 6, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 31, April 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9).
Festival Greeter (1 position)

GIS Assistant Technician
Seasonal - April 28th, 2025 to August 29th, 2025 (18 Weeks)
This is a Summer Student Position. Under direct supervision of the GIS/System Supervisor and working alongside the Senior GIS Specialist, the GIS Assistant Technician is responsible for providing project-specific support for gathering and compiling spatial data, constructing, and maintaining geodatabases and associated metadata.
Maple Syrup Interpreters (2 positions)
Seasonal (Purple Woods Maple Syrup Festival)
This is a seasonal position, required to work during the Purple Woods Maple Syrup Festival and the Sugar Bush Tours school program from Feb 24 to April 9, including some weekends, to deliver interpretive and education programs. A mandatory half-day training and orientation session is planned for Saturday March 1, 2025.
Maple Syrup Taffy Maker (1 position)

Sustainable Neighbourhoods Community Engagement Technician

TERRESTRIAL MONITORING ASSISTANT
Seasonal - April 28th, 2025 to August 29th, 2025 (18 Weeks)
This is a Summer Student Position. Assisting in natural heritage inventories, including terrestrial monitoring, Ecological Land Classification (ELC), invasive species management, community outreach and habitat restoration.
WATER RESOURCES TECHNICIAN
Seasonal - April 28th, 2025 to August 29th, 2025 (18 Weeks)
This is a Summer Student Position. The Water Resources Technician will support projects by assisting with fieldwork and data entry related to streamflow measurements, water quality sampling, monitoring equipment installation, maintenance and surveying.
