WATERSHED MONITORING AND PROTECTION

Watershed Plans

The goal of watershed planning is to provide a framework to protect, enhance and restore watersheds so they are healthy and resilient. By examining the relationship between ecological conditions and human activities, we can determine how these watersheds should be managed to retain their ecological integrity and support human health and safety. The watershed plans are important tools to support municipal partners in conforming to provincial land use planning directives to build more sustainable communities.

OVERVIEW

Explore the watershed plans using StoryMaps to illustrate jurisdictions, heritage features, conservation targets and more. You can also discover your watershed with the 'Find Your Watershed' tool.
