2020 FESTIVAL DATES

Come out and experience a Canadian spring in our sugarbush!  The Festival is a great opportunity for volunteering as there are a variety of positions available.  Every year we welcome adults and high school students to volunteer as Children's Activity Assistants, Festival Associates or Admissions, and Parking Attendants.

Children's Activity Assistant

This is a rotating position where you will be working with the Children’s Activity Host engaging children and adults with a variety of hands-on craft and game activities. Activities will take place in both outdoor and indoor environments. All volunteers will be supplied with a lumberjack shirt which identifies them as a festival volunteer. This uniform may be worn over an existing coat and is to be returned at the end of each day.

Admissions

This is a rotating position of welcoming and directing visitors to the entrance area where they may purchase tickets or get their pre-purchased tickets scanned. Festival associates (admissions) assist ticket sales staff by greeting and providing visitors with information about the workings of the festival whether it is enjoying pancakes in the Heritage Hall or making their way down the trail to see the displays.  You will work inside and outside throughout the day, so dress for the weather. All volunteers will be supplied with a lumberjack shirt which identifies them as a festival volunteer. This uniform may be worn over an existing coat and is to be returned at the end of each day.

Parking Attendant

In this position you will help direct cars to parking spots under the supervision of parking staff. Parking staff and volunteers are required to wear safety vests which will be provided each day and returned at the end of day.

Volunteers must provide their own transportation as public transit is not available.
