About the event

This talk will explore the Lynde Shores Conservation Area Restoration and Resilience Plan as a case study in coastal wetland restoration and climate adaptation along Lake Ontario. Dan Moore will walk through the origins and background of the project, the key threats facing Lynde Shores, and how science-based planning and collaboration were used to develop a long-term restoration and resilience strategy. The presentation will highlight the development of the Technical Task Team (TTM), major design and implementation considerations, and how this work fits within broader efforts to improve wetland function, habitat quality, and climate resilience in Great Lakes coastal systems.
