On February 16, 2024, a new regulation (Ontario Regulation 41/24) under the Conservation Authorities Act was approved by the Province of Ontario along with the coming into force of several amendments to the Act. These changes require Conservation Authorities across the province to update their policy documents to implement the new regulation on the provincially legislated date of April 1, 2024.
Accordingly, CLOCA staff prepared a consultation draft of an updated CLOCA Policy and Procedural Document for Land Use Planning and Regulation. This document provided the detailed policy direction and procedural information to implement the provincial regulation in our local watershed and was available for a period of public consultation from March 1 to March 18, 2024. CLOCA’s Board of Directors approved and adopted the updated and revised Policy and Procedural Document for Land Use Planning and Regulation at the Board Meeting on March 19, 2024.
