Updated Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority (CLOCA) Policy and Procedural Document for Land Use Planning and Regulation
On February 16, 2024, a new regulation (Ontario Regulation 41/24) under the Conservation Authorities Act was approved by the Province. These changes are to come into force and effect on April 1, 2024.
These changes will require Conservation Authorities across the province to update their policy documents to be able to implement the new regulation on the provincially legislated date of April 1, 2024. Accordingly, CLOCA staff have prepared a consultation draft of an updated CLOCA Policy and Procedural Document for land use planning and regulation. This document provides the detailed policy direction and procedural information to implement the provincial regulation in our local watershed.
We are seeking input on the draft document commencing today until Monday, March 18, 2024. Staff intend to seek CLOCA Board adoption of the document at the Board Meeting of March 19, 2024.
