Festival Greeter (1 position)
Seasonal (Purple Woods Maple Syrup Festival)
This is a seasonal position, and you may be required to work all or some of the following dates: March 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29 and 30 during the annual Purple Woods Maple Syrup Festival. A mandatory half-day training and orientation session is planned for Saturday, March 1, 2025.
The Festival Greeter is responsible for greeting visitors at Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority’s (CLOCA's) annual Purple Woods Maple Syrup Festival.
The Festival Greeter is responsible for engaging children and adults, answering any questions and providing extra help or direction as they enter the Festival. This includes providing verbal instructions and information to aid visitors in navigating through the Festival. You will also be required to promote CLOCA as a lead agency in watershed protection and stewardship.
The Festival Greeter will be provided with instructions and scripts as part of the half day training and orientation session. They will also be required to complete a mandatory online health and safety and personnel training session. This position requires the individual to stand and work 90 per cent of the day outdoors. The Festival Greeter will be responsible for supervision of volunteers to ensure compliance with CLOCA policies.
The Festival Greeter reports to the Special Events Coordinator. The Festival’s hours of operation are 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The employee is expected to report for work at 9:15 a.m. and will work no later than 2:15 p.m.

Qualifications:
1) Excellent customer service and communication skills.
2) Experience working with the public is an asset.
3) Able to work in a fast paced environment.
4) Able to work alone or with a partner.
5) Fluent in English, a second language is an asset.
Wages and Benefits:
$16.20 - $17.20 per hour
